Hi, My name is Valisha Wigfall, Owner of Brushed Beauty Artistry.

I am a professional, self-taught, freelance makeup-up artist based in Charleston, SC.  I'm also former M.A.C. freelance artist and have been so for the past four years. Ive have had the opportunity to work with  well-known photographers in the area, as well as local designers, models, artists, and numerous bridal parties. I've done work for pageants as well as fashion shows, such as Charleston Fashion Week and Belk Fashion Events

 

 

From an early age, I've always loved art. Vivid colors, drawing, and painting has always been things I love. I got introduced to makeup in high school and I loved to try out new looks on myself. My family seemed to love my work, so they would allow me to practice on them for special events. The feeling of handing them the mirror after a makeover, and them instantly falling in love is what wanted me to strive even more. Thats where my passion started and it grew from there. 

 

 

Although I am self-taught, I've taken a few makeup classes and have had one-on-ones with some of the best in the industry. As well as, picking up different tricks and skills from working with other phenomenal artists.

 

Examples of my work have been featured twice on EssenceMag.com as well as several blogs. I've also been nominated for several awards in the Charleston area for my artistry.

 

Makeup is not just a hobby for me, it's one of the gifts that God has blessed me with and I am forever grateful that He did.   I'll never stop learning and growing, and I will continue to strive to hone my craft.
